School Leadership Course
The School Leadership Course was developed by CNCs international team and was piloted in schools in Chechnya. This course was undertaken as part of the project “School Leadership developments in post conflict societies”, jointly implemented by the Centre for Innovations in Education (Azerbaijan), the Northern Caucasus Federal University (Stavropol, Russian Federation) and Sintem NGO (Republic of Chechnya, RF) with the support of the Education Support Program of the Open Society Institution.
The project was aimed at improving the administration of schools and in order to develop leadership practices oriented towards an inclusive school culture. The main goal of the course is to improve skills and knowledge of the school principals and teachers in post-conflict societies. The course content includes modules on distributed leadership, educational leadership, self assessment of leadership practices, skills and styles as well as inclusive school climate support and school strategy planning and social entrepreneurship.
