“Buta” Humanitarian Foundation for Children
The Humanitarian Foundation for Children “BUTA” (HCF) being a non-governmental humanitarian fund was registered as on July 17, 1995 with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The mission of the organization is to engage in the problems of refugees, IDPs, invalids and children without parents and the environment these children live.

The main directions of activity implemented by “BUTA” including the Psychological Rehabilitation, the Community Development Program, Youth problems, Education, Research and the children who have lost their parents.
“BUTA” implemented psychosocial rehabilitation of displaced refugees from Fizuli, Zangilan, Jabrayil, Shusha, Khojaly living in encampments, and more than 1500 children suffering from concussion within the framework of the “Psycho-social rehabilitation of refugees and internally displaced children” project funded by Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in 1995-2001. The original psycho- rehabilitation methods of the project implemented through the sports, theatre, music, folk and fine art has become the focus of famous psychologists and psychiatrists of different countries of the world and appreciated by international independent experts. And it was presented in World Congress of psychiatrists in Yerusalim in 1996.
“BUTA” published "Psycho-social rehabilitation of internally displaced children," methodological manual in Azeri, Russian and English languages with the order of NRC (Oslo) and the NRC (Geneva) in 2001.
